National Research University "MPEI" is a leading technical university in Russia and the world in the field of energy, electrical engineering, radio engineering, electronics and information technology. Its leading positions in the scientific and educational fields are confirmed by state awards, international and domestic ratings, as well as a high reputation of graduates among the largest domestic and foreign energy holdings.
There are more than 20,000 students, about 570 postgraduates, and doctoral students are trained in 24 areas of undergraduate and 18 areas of magistracy at the university (excluding its 5 branches). 1600 teachers and scientists, including 236 doctors and 971 candidates of sciences, provide high-quality education and research activities.
More than 250 foreign universities and such world-famous companies as ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, EPRI, Skoda, Samsung, and others have become MPEI partners in science and education.
"MPEI" celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2020. Now MPEI has more than 250 foreign partners from 68 countries of the world. MPEI has 5 branches (including branches in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) and extensive material and technical base, which includes: 12 institutes, 59 departments, more than 100 research laboratories, a specialized pilot plant, a unique educational CHP, the largest scientific and technical library in the country and other things.

Submit an online application
Fill in the information in the applicant's personal account using the link. You will receive a reply within 1-2 days.

Pass entrance exams
Take entrance tests remotely using a personal computer with a webcam. You will receive a reply within 1-2 days.

Receive your contract and pay for tuition.
The admissions manager will send you your contract and tuition fee invoice.

Submit documents for an invitation to Russia
To receive an invitation to enter Russia for study purposes, you must contact the admission manager by email—oms.mpei@yandex.ru.

Apply for a study visa
After receiving the invitation, a foreign citizen applies to a diplomatic mission of Russia in the country where you plan to receive your visa.
